Oops I Did It Again

Well well well…I neglected this blog once again.

I created this page last summer and unfortunately became too distracted with life to keep up with it. I have always had a special love for writing and figured what better way to share my thoughts, feelings, and passion for beauty than starting a blog. I know feel more focused and ready to express my mind.

I promise that this time I will stick to my blogging duties. I really hope to connect with like-minded people and hopefully inspire some as well.

Best Dressed

I’m no expert when it comes to fashion. I don’t follow every trend and I certainly don’t keep up with the latest celebrity styles. I can’t remember the last time I read a magazine and TV is so not my thing. So, you may be thinking, “then why are you blogging about fashion?!” When I get dressed in the morning, I look for an outfit that no one would have thought to wear. An outfit that may not exactly fit in with what is trending at the moment. I keep an open mind. I’m creative with my outfits and never want to wear something that is taken directly off the mannequin in my favorite stores.

The point is…BE YOURSELF! People will notice that you are unique. Appreciate other’s ideas, but alter them to fit your style. Make up your own rules when it comes to fashion. Be inspired by other’s but don’t copy them. Dress yourself according to how you feel and what you believe in. Wear outfits that you love and feel confident in.

And with that being said, I leave you with this… “To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.”

The beginning…

Well…hello! It is one of the first nights of summer (I just graduated high school by the way, woohoo!) and I’ve been laying in bed sick as a dog for about 24 hours now. Despite my 102 fever, coughing, sneezing, etc., these past 24 hours have not been so bad. Ok, that sounds strange, but I finally had time to think. Being that I just graduated high school, a lot is changing in my life at the moment. While all of my friends are looking forward to college in a few weeks, I am sitting here looking forward to what I like to refer to as the “real world.” Without getting into pages of details, my plan for my post high school graduation self is to do what I truly love doing: helping people feel glamorously happy. I hope to one day be a successful woman in the beauty industry. So…here’s to my journey that is only just beginning…but as for right now I’ll be here…in my bedroom…coughing up a lung.
